How do I start?

Just call our membership secretary, (Tel: 01793-706906) . You're welcome to sit in on one of our rehearsals to get a feel for the atmosphere. Don't worry if you can't read music - many of the current members started that way.

We rehearse every Tuesday evening between 7:30 - 9:30pm at the Church of Christ the Servant, Elstree Way, Abbey Meads, Swindon (map here). There are rehearsal breaks at Christmas, Easter, and Summer holidays.

How do I know if I'm a tenor, baritone, or bass?

The musical director has plenty of experience in helping recruits finding their natural range, and it's common for new members to change from one section to another if they find it more comfortable. After a period with the choir, new members should be able to demonstrate their ability to meet the vocal standards expected and their ability to learn new works.

Do I need to attend all rehearsals?

Members are expected to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to choir activities and maintain an attendance of at least 75% of rehearsals and concerts. However, once they start most people find the camaraderie infectious and need no encouragement!
